Description
POPSCOPE
Katsumi Komagata Paper Sculpture Art
This is a work by Katsumi Komagata.
It is not signed.
I purchased it directly at a traveling exhibition about 10 years ago.
When I purchased it, a staff member explained that this is a one-of-a-kind item.
I have since confirmed that other designs have been re-released, but I do not know if this panda design has been re-released.
Furthermore, since Mr. Komagata has passed away, no new works will be produced.

What is POPSCOPE?
The overlapping of paper and the three-dimensional effect that emerges from it.
Each POPSCOPE is handmade and one-of-a-kind. It is a work that can be easily displayed on walls or shelves. It appears flat but has depth, and the overlapping colors of the paper and the three-dimensional effect that emerges from it emphasize its presence. Each piece is handmade.
