Vintage 7" Carnival Bowl/Dish Blackberry Spray‎ Ruffled Marigold

Fenton Art Glass Company, founded in 1905 in Williamstown, West Virginia, became one of America's premier producers of carnival glass during the early 20th century. The Blackberry Spray pattern, featuring detailed berry and leaf motifs, was among Fenton's most popular designs, produced in various iridescent colors including the sought-after amberina (red-orange) finish. This particular piece showcases the ruffled hat or bowl shape, a classic Fenton form created by hand-shaping the glass while still hot. Carnival glass pieces like this Fenton Blackberry bowl are highly prized by collectors of American glassware and vintage decorative arts. The amberina coloration, with its warm red-orange tones and rainbow iridescence, makes this pattern especially desirable among carnival glass enthusiasts. Collectors appreciate these pieces for their handcrafted quality, historical significance as affordable luxury during the Depression era, and the technical skill required to achieve the distinctive iridescent finish. The Blackberry pattern remains one of the most recognizable and collected Fenton designs.
