Description
Beautiful vintage floral dress fabric measuring approximately 3 1/4 yards x 40 inches wide. Striking painterly floral print in rich shades of red, magenta, rust, brown, ochre and muted aqua against a very dark charcoal/black ground. Lightweight with a wonderfully fluid, slinky drape and soft smooth hand. Fiber content is unmarked; it feels and drapes like rayon or a rayon blend. The narrow width, fabric character and print suggest approximately 1950s. Wonderful for a vintage-inspired dress, blouse or skirt, period costuming, or textile collection. Both cut ends have been overcast/serged, likely to prevent fraying during laundering or storage. Fabric otherwise appears to be unused yardage. Please see photos for condition and details.
