Vintage 1960s Japanese angel taper candle holder attributed to ARDCO. Charming mid-century Christmas angel features bright orange robes, blonde hair, white wings, a red songbook and wonderful hand-painted facial details with big blue eyes and rosy cheeks. Her dimensional gold crown is accented with ruby-red rhinestones and forms the holder for a taper candle. Approximately 7.5 tall. This design matches documented vintage ARDCO angel candle holders made in Japan during the 1960s. The original paper label is no longer present on this example. A wonderful piece for a vintage Christmas collection, MCM holiday display or collector of Japanese Christmas decor.
