Mid-Century Japanese Black Americana Salt-and-Pepper Shakers Baby in Basket

Vintage mid-century salt and pepper shaker set featuring two baby figures seated in a yellow handled basket with their legs playfully raised in the air. The figures retain strong, bright painted details, including yellow, green and red accents. Both original cork stoppers are present. The set is in very good vintage condition. The babies’ paint remains especially nice, with a small amount of paint rubbing on the little girl’s red bow. The yellow basket is also in very good condition with light age-related wear. There is some surface dust; the set has not been aggressively cleaned to avoid damaging the vintage painted finish. Overall measurements are approximately 3½ inches tall by 5 inches wide by 2½ inches deep. Please examine all photographs for the most accurate representation of condition. Sold as a vintage collectible and decorative item.
