Rare vintage ceramic wall mold / hanging plaque designed by Howard Kaplan for Sigma the Tasteseller (Roman numeral dated 1983 / MCMLXXXIII). Made in Japan. Features a deeply embossed relief depiction of a hot air balloon carrying a basket full of fruit, titled Les Fruits on a pink banner with bow accents. Finished in a rich hand-painted glaze with a scalloped, swirl-textured outer border and deep brown rim trim. Measures 13.5 inches long by 10 inches wide. Includes factory hanger holes at the top for wall mounting. Perfect for French Country, vintage kitchen decor, or rare Sigma ceramics collectors. In excellent vintage condition with vibrant glaze colors, crisp backstamps, original blue Made in Japan foil sticker, and no chips, cracks, or repairs.
