Antique 1920s Waltham 15 Jewel Mechanical (hand-wound) Pocket Watch  The movement looks clean with nice engraving on the plates.The watch face has some minor scuffing but is easy to read. The watch back shows some wear and a few faint scratches and flaws. But it is over a century old! Serial number 11,924,809. Production Year: Approximately 19231925 (early 1920s).  This is a mechanical (hand-wound) pocket watch. To operate it:  1. Wind it daily by turning the crown clockwise (usually 3040 half-turns until it stops  dont force it). 2.To set the time: Pull the crown out (if it has a setting position) or open the case and use the setting mechanism, then push it back in. 3. It should run for about 2440 hours per winding depending on the movement.  This has a snap-back which is very secure. friction-fit and pop open with gentle pressure from a case knife or thumbnail at the edge.
