Catholic Crucifix Jesus INRI Antique Shell Finial Wall Cross 1800s

140.00 $
Description
Antique Catholic wall crucifix featuring a separately applied figure of Christ, raised INRI plaque and an unusual cross with radiating shell or sunburst-form terminals at all four ends. The piece has substantial authentic age and patina, particularly visible on the reverse, with cracking, darkening, finish wear and surface loss consistent with its considerable age. This appears to be an early private devotional crucifix rather than a modern decorative reproduction. Exact maker, country of origin and material are unknown. Please review all photos closely for construction and condition. Measurements are included in the photos. Age/Era: Antique, unsure but likely late 19th to early 20th century…1880–1910?
