This is a collaboration piece with Takahashi Shibori Kogyo, a factory in Edogawa, Tokyo.
A copper cover, hand-formed using shibori (stretching) techniques, is then individually hammered with a textured finish.
The astonishing craftsmanship results in a finish that imparts a sense of weight and substance.
Although made of copper, the surface is not painted or plated, allowing you to enjoy the natural aging process.
It pairs perfectly with FUTAMATA and MITSUMATA.
