WHITE LIGHT Lantern
Extremely rare, manufactured in Showa 29 (1954). Nippon Sen-to, Type A2058, Ministry of Transport Type Certified. The NR designation indicates it was installed on large vessels and meets international standards. Materials are brass and copper. Lens is flat glass (no lens). Japan Ship Inspection Association mark, manufactured September, Showa 29 (1954). Nissen. Wiring has been removed due to deterioration. Internal socket is robust, secured with 4 bolts. There are 3 filled holes. Items like this are hard to come by. I believe this is the same model that appeared on Nantemo Kantte-dan (a Japanese TV show). The lid packing has been removed due to deterioration. Some effort will be required to connect the wiring and use it. Please consider this as a vintage item and make your judgment. There are dents, scuffs, and dirt from 70 years of age, but please understand this as the character of a vintage item.
