This is Maxell's top-of-the-line metal tape, MX 90, from the golden age of cassette tapes.
This product has been carefully demagnetized (bulk erased) one by one using a professional bulk eraser (TEAC E-2A) for used recorded tapes.
■ Features of this product
Complete Demagnetization Reset: Unlike normal overwrite erasure on a deck, this process uses a strong electromagnetic field to reset residual magnetism deep within the tape. You can enjoy recording from a silent state, close to new, without worrying about ghosting from previous recordings.
Metal Tape Compatible: Low-speed fade-out demagnetization has been performed specifically for high-coercivity metal tapes.
Condition:
Main Unit: In good condition with no noticeable scratches.
Index Card: In clean condition with no writing.
Tabs: None (can be covered with cellophane tape or similar to allow re-recording).
Operation: Leader tape connection and running confirmed.
■ About the Demagnetization Process
We use TEAC's renowned E-2A model. Demagnetization is performed by hand, slowly moving away in a circular motion. The tape has been reset to a level where previous recordings are not noticeable at normal listening volumes. (※ Please note that due to the nature of analog technology, slight residual components may be present when the volume is extremely high.)
We have prepared this tape to maximize the potential of the rare MX series. Please use it for dubbing important sound sources or for your collection.
■ Shipping Method
To avoid magnetization, the tape will be packaged away from magnetic sources such as speakers and shipped promptly via Nekoposu.
