Legendary Bang & Olufsen SP-12 MMC (MI) type cartridge

This is a vintage cartridge, the legendary Bang&Olufsen SP-12 MMC (MI) type.
It can be mounted on the audio technica AT-L13 silver shell that I have.

I am gradually listing items from my collection of cherished cartridges.

This is a brand from Denmark, founded in 1925, specializing in audio-visual products.
Released around 1971-1973, this product was popular for its stylish, bullet-shaped body. It is essentially a high-output type, equivalent to MM.

The cantilever is notably long, and the stylus tip is a tall innocence diamond. A stylus cover is also included.

It has a 5-pin output structure with a body ground, but connection is generally not necessary unless using a metal shell.

The sound is incredibly well-balanced across frequencies for its era, with a delicate quality.

The sound quality is superb for jazz. Vocals are also rich and have a beautiful, straightforward impression.

The condition is good, and it produces sound well.
