Tokai pianos are a Japanese piano brand manufactured by Tokai Gakki in Shizuoka, alongside Yamaha and Kawai. They were particularly popular in the 1970s and 80s. These pianos are characterized by their compact and beautiful design, created by technicians who came from Kawai and studied German Schimmel pianos. Although no longer manufactured, they are highly regarded in the used market for their excellent cost performance and solid construction, possessing a unique character and charm as Japanese-made pianos.
All keys produce sound, but we lack the expertise to provide detailed information.
The piano was last tuned 5 years ago, and it has not been played much since.
