Koishiwara ware continues to pursue the beauty of utility while preserving traditional techniques such as hakeme (brush strokes), uchikake (splashed glaze), and tobikanna (comb pattern), creating vessels that are useful in daily life, even as their forms change with the times.
While inheriting tradition, these tableware items, which exude modern colors and shapes, are easy to use, simple, and feel warm.
Since all processes are done by hand, each piece has its own unique character, even with the same patterns and designs, such as tobi-kanna, hakeme, and kohiki (white slip) variations.
