1 plant, bare-root, Sanjiso (Madagascar Periwinkle), Hazeran

Will be shipped as a bare-root plant (second image shows the state of the bare-root plant).

1 plant, photographed on 5/25.

Soil and pot are not included.

The roots are firm. If you cut the long leaves, side shoots will emerge, giving it volume.
It is a very strong plant.

It has small, cute flowers that look like baby's breath and resemble fireworks.
In the evening, they bloom profusely all at once, creating a very lovely sight.
It is an annual plant, but it will multiply rapidly like a weed through self-seeding. Once you welcome it into your garden, it should sprout again next year.

The bare-root plant will have its soil removed, its roots wrapped in moist newspaper, and will be anonymously shipped via post using Mercari delivery.
It will be dug up after you purchase it. If it rains, it may take a little longer. Recycled materials will be used for packaging.

☆ Hazeran (Madagascar Periwinkle)

It was introduced to Japan as an ornamental plant during the Meiji era. It is an annual plant from tropical regions, but because it sprouts naturally every year from fallen seeds, you can enjoy it in your garden for many years without replanting. On the other hand, due to its strong ability to propagate by seed, it is often found growing wild around houses.
Its height is about 30 to 80 centimeters, and it grows rapidly as soon as it starts to flower. The leaves are not as succulent as those of succulents, but they are firm and thick, with a glossy surface. In tropical regions, these leaves are sometimes eaten.
From summer to autumn, it blooms with numerous small reddish-purple flowers. The flowers bloom at night. They begin to open between 3 PM and 4 PM and wilt the next morning, hence they are also called Sanjiso (3 o'clock flower) or Yojisou (4 o'clock flower).
