Old Kilim Cushion Cover, Turkish Handwoven Wool, Vintage, One-of-a-Kind
35.64 $
Description
Size: Approximately 35-38cm square (slight variations due to handmade nature)
Front: Old Kilim, Back: Cotton (sewn in Japan)
This design features a striking geometric pattern woven in warm earth tones of terracotta orange, brown, and gray. The dynamic zigzags and large diamonds are classic Kilim motifs.
The prominent evil eye symbol and surrounding zigzags evoke traditional emblems like wolf's footprints, representing the nomads' strong wish to protect their families and livestock from wild animals.
Its compact size makes it perfect for placing on the back of a chair, by a window, or near plants. This unique piece (one-of-a-kind) will add a touch of warm color to your everyday life.
---
This is deadstock (unused) acquired 15 years ago for an event. There are some signs of color bleeding and sun fading due to long-term storage. The thick Kilim fabric is very durable, and with use, the fuzziness will settle, making it even more integrated into your home.
For shipping purposes, only the cover will be sent. Please use with a 40x40cm cushion insert.
We also have vintage rugs available. Please take a look. Feel free to inquire if you are interested in multiple items.
