[Background of Creation]
My beloved cat had surgery to remove a mammary gland lump and needed to wear a post-operative suit to protect the wound. I didn't know what to get, so I bought one from the vet, but it was ￥4,000 + tax! It looked comfortable, but it was expensive!
My cat tried to groom itself and was bothered by the wound, so it chewed on the clothes!
The fabric became tattered. I tried to patch it up.
In the end, I bought 3 suits. During that time, I saw simple post-operative suits online that could be made easily, and I tried remaking clothes sold at 100-yen shops, experimenting with various methods.
In the end, I couldn't make anything comfortable and ended up buying from the vet.

I realized that depending on the location of the wound, especially around the abdomen or groin, a stretchy and well-fitting garment is necessary to accommodate a cat's stretching and movement.
I wondered how everyone else managed during such times...
Good things have a purpose. I made this based on the post-operative suit I bought from the vet.
I focused on a certain degree of stretch and an open back for ease of movement, and spares are essential.

[Tried and Tested]
Cutting and tying shirts: This caused stress for both me and the cat when trying to put it on energetic cats...
Cutting fluffy socks: While it seems easy, it's actually difficult to cut the areas around the groin and hindquarters correctly, and repeated adjustments are a burden on the cat.
