Vintage 1965 Western Electric 554 Rotary Wall Phone Olive Green 172C Mounting

Up for sale is a classic piece of mid-century Americana: a genuine Western Electric Model 554 Rotary Wall Telephone in a beautiful vintage Olive/Moss Green finish. Key Features and Standout Details: Original 172C Mounting Plate Included: What truly sets this listing apart from most vintage wall phones on the market is that it still has the original green plastic 172C mounting bracket securely attached to the back. These brackets are frequently left behind on walls when phones are uninstalled, making a complete unit like this highly desirable! Authentic 1965 Production: The internal metal chassis is clearly stamped A/B 554 II-65, dating the manufacture of this unit to November of 1965. Vintage Handset: Comes equipped with a matching Western Electric G3 handset, proudly stamped Made in USA. Charming Local History Provenance: The front face of the phone features authentic vintage advertising and utility stickers from its past life. Condition Notes: This phone is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition. The plastic housing has a rich, glossy shine with minor scuffs, light surface wear, and adhesive residue consistent with age and authentic operational use. The rotary dial spins smoothly and snaps back as it should. The coiled handset cord retains great elasticity.
