Fender American Professional II Jazz Bass

Purchased as an outlet item from Ikebe Gakki Online in April 2024, but I am selling it because I don't have time to play it. It was only test-played for a few minutes when I bought it. After testing, I loosened the strings and stored it.

Regarding the reason for it being an outlet item, I forgot the specific reason and contacted Ikebe Gakki Online.
They did not have detailed individual data, so I inquired again with photos about whether it was a scratch or a paint defect. I received the following reply:

Based on the photos you sent, it appears that the clear film on the pickguard is still attached. If you remove it, the pickguard should be clean.
(When you remove the film, the black American Professional~ sticker can also be removed along with it.)

The outer edge is cut by Fender's machinery, making it difficult to tell if the film is present and hard to remove. However, if you gently scratch it with your fingernail near the sharp edge of the pickguard or around the screw holes, it should peel off.

Fender's outlet items seem to have various criteria, ranging from obvious issues like dents or paint defects to minor imperfections that are not noticeable and would not be a concern during normal use. It seems that the unit you purchased falls into the category of having a less noticeable issue.

Comes with a hard case, but since purchase, two of the four internal locks do not close well. They do not fail to close, but they are not smooth.

I plan to pack it by wrapping it in bubble wrap and protecting it with cardboard.
